Research on the application of self-made mobile drinking fountains in the prevention and treatment of piglets digestive disease
[Objective] To explore the application value of water administration through the self-made mobile drinking fountains in the prevention and treatment digestive disease of piglets. [Methods] A simple mobile drinking device was made by ourselves, and the piglets at three stages of suckling piglets, weaning piglets and nursing piglets were divided into water administration, mixed feed administration and blank control. Chi-square test was used to compare the therapeutic effects of different administration methods.[Results] The diar-rhea rate of the experimental group was 49.06% lower than that of the control group (P<0.01). In the weaning stage experiment of piglets aged 21-28 days, the diarrhea rate of the experimental group was 65.82%(P<0.05) and 82.51%(P<0.01) lower than that of the control group and the oral drug mixture group, respectively. In the experiment of 29-40 days old nursery piglets, the diarrhea rate in the experimental group was 55.66%(P<0.05) and 74.49%(P<0.01) lower than that in the oral and injection groups, respectively. [Con-clusion] Self-made mobile drinking fountains can effectively prevent and treat digestive tract diseases of piglets, reduce the diarrhea rate of piglets, and it is convenient to use, and has practical application value.
