Polysaccharides from traditional Chinese medicine are commonly found in Chinese medicinal materials and are high molec-ular weight compounds extracted from them. Traditional Chinese medicine polysaccharides have the functions of promoting growth, en-hancing immunity, and antioxidation, widely used in the breeding of poultry, pigs, and ruminant animals. This article reviews the ex-traction methods of traditional Chinese medicine polysaccharides and their applications in animal husbandry, and looks forward to their application prospects, providing a basis for their research applications.
