Analysis of the Causes of Porosity Defects During Foil Rolling Process
One of the important reasons for the decline or breakage of product quality during the foil rolling stage is the appearance of defects such as pinholes, through holes(or pressure leaks),air passages, and roll marks characterized by holes.A key indicator affecting the quality of aluminum foil is the number of pinholes, and there are many factors that cause pinholes. This article focuses on the main factors that cause pinholes in the aluminum foil rolling process.Based on industrial production and partial experiments, the main causes of hole defects during the foil rolling process are analyzed, including oil cleanliness and surface scratches. The foreign particle index is used as a quantitative detection method for the suspended solid large particles in the rolling oil,and improvement measures are proposed.
