Effects of Diosmin Therapy Combined with Rehabilitation Training on Limb Edema and Neurological Function in Patients with Acute Ischemic Stroke
Objective It is to investigate the effects of diosmin therapy combined with rehabilita-tion training on limb edema, neurological function and serum interleukin-6 (IL-6 )in patients with acute ischemic stroke. Methods The clinical data of 60 patients with acute ischemic stroke were retrospectively analyzed, among which 30 patients who were treated with conventional drugs and rehabilitation training within 2 days of the onset of the disease were the control group, and 30 patients who were treated with diosmin on the basis of the above treatments were the study group. The national institutes of health stroke scale (NIHSS)score and modified Barthel index (MBI)scale were used to evaluate the neurological function, and serum IL-6 levels were detected by ELISA. After 14 days of treatment, the changes in neurological function, paralysis limb edema and serum IL-6 were compared between the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in NIHSS score,MBI score and serum IL-6 level between the two groups before treatment (P>0.05). Compared with the control group, the NIHSS score and serum IL-6 level were lower (P<0.05),the MBI score and the improvement rate of paralyzed limbs edema were higher in the study group after treatment (P<0.05). Conclusion Diosmin therapy combined with reha-bilitation training in the treatment of acute ischemic stroke can effectively reduce the edema of paralyzed limbs and improve the neurological function of patients, and the mechanism of which may work through the regulation of inflammatory factors.
