Role of Assisted Traction Method in Endoscopic Treatment of Gastric Submucosal Tumors
Objective To investigate the role of assisted traction method in endoscopic treatment of gastric submucosal tumors(G-SMTs).Methods A total of 133 patients with G-SMTs who were trea-ted by endoscopy from January 2021 to February 2024 were selected and divided into the traditional group(n=61)and traction group(n=72)according to whether or not the assisted traction method was used. After propensity score matching(PSM)of baseline data of the two groups,51 pairs of matched subjects were obtained, and the surgical duration, rate of en bloc resection, incidence of adverse events, and related hospitalization indicators were compared between the two groups. Results Compared with the traditional group, the traction group had a shorter surgical duration(36.22 min vs 45.00 min,P=0.003),but there was no significant difference in the rate of en bloc resection, adverse events incidence and related hospitali-zation indicators(P>0.05).Conclusions The assisted traction method can effectively shorten the surgi-cal duration and improve the efficiency of surgery and it is recommended to be used in the endoscopic treat-ment of G-SMTs.
