Abstract
MOOC(Massive Open Online Course)is undoubtedly the most popular word in online education in China.It has the characteristics of openness,large-scale,self-organization and sociality.It is successfully used in Internet technology education,open education concept has been recognized by society,social learning has become a main form of learning background,is conducive to building a social learning network,is conducive to the creation and sharing of knowledge,to provide real-time,interactive,on-demand services for users by the system.By discussing the application and practice of MOOC in College English teaching,this paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of MOOC in College English teaching.
