Classical jurisprudence is found both in the West and in China. In the body of knowledge of Western juris-prudence,there is the classical jurisprudence of ancient Rome, the classical natural jurisprudence of the period of the capi-talist revolution, and the Anglo-American classical jurisprudence that emerged in the late nineteenth century.Compared with Western classical jurisprudence,Chinese classical jurisprudence has a long history and mainly contains four forms of jurisprudence knowledge, which are:ritual jurisprudence based on rites, legal jurisprudence based on laws, economic ju-risprudence based on scriptures, and political jurisprudence based on politics.By bringing together these four forms of ju-risprudential knowledge, the knowledge system of classical Chinese jurisprudence can be comprehensively demonstrated.Although these four forms of Chinese classical jurisprudence emerged in different historical contexts and can correspond to different forms of law and meet different needs, they are intertwined and interrelated, making them the four major branches of the knowledge system of Chinese classical jurisprudence.
