Objective:To investigate the application value of three-dimensional digitization technology in endoscopic thyroid surgery via the submental vestibular approach. Methods:Sixty patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma diagnosed by preoperative cyto-logy from Jan.1,2022 to Dec.31,2023 were randomly divided into digital group(n=30)and conventional surgery group(n=30).The digital group underwent endoscopic thyroid surgery through submental vestibular approach combined with three-dimensional digital mo-del,and the conventional surgery group only underwent endoscopic thyroid surgery through submental vestibular approach.Preoperative communication time, intraoperative blood loss, operative time and postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. Results:Surgery was successful in both groups. In the digital group and conventional surgery group, the preoperative communication time[(21.83±4.83)min vs.(32.07±6.61)min],operative time[(112.03±8.33)min vs.(138.01±13.29)min],and the intraoperative blood loss[(13.63±3.81)mL vs.(19.17±4.51)mL]were statistically significantly different(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in postoperative complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:The application of three-dimensional digital technology can improve the efficiency of doctor-patient communication, reduce the amount of intraoperative blood loss, shorten the opera-tion time, and improve the safety of endoscopic thyroid surgery. This technique is worthy of application and popularization.
