A Correlation Study on Metabolic Characteristics of Patients with Hyperuricemia and Damp Heat Constitution
Objective:To study the metabolic characteristics of patients with hyperuricemia and damp heat constitution,and provide reference for the TCM diagnosis and treatment.Methods:One hundred patients with hyperuricemia who visited the Rheumatology and Endocrinology Department of the Second People's Hospital of Fujian Province from February 2021 to December 2021 were collected and divided into a damp heat constitution group and a non damp heat constitution group,and relevant indicators were tested.Results:There were 38 males and 2 females in the damp heat constitution group;56 males and 4 females in the non damp heat constitution group.There was no statistically significant difference in age between the two groups(P>0.05).The levels of SBP,DBP,BMI,VFA,bilateral BaPWV,fasting blood glucose,triglycerides,and low-density lipoprotein in the damp heat constitution group were higher than those in the non damp heat constitution group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in total cholesterol and high-density lipoprotein levels between the two groups(P>0.05).Binary logistic regression analysis showed that the levels of VFA and low-density lipoprotein in HUA patients were positively correlated with the development of damp heat constitution.The combination of HUA and VFO,arteriosclerosis,hypertension,and hypertriglyceridemia increased the risk of developing a damp heat constitution.Conclusion:There is a correlation between HUA damp heat constitution and metabolic abnormalities.Patients with HUA damp heat constitution have higher levels of SBP,DBP,BMI,VFA,BaPWV,fasting blood glucose,triglycerides,and low-density lipoprotein compared to patients with non damp heat constitution,but there is no significant difference in total cholesterol and high-density lipoprotein.The levels of VFA and low-density lipoprotein in HUA patients are positively correlated with the development of damp heat constitution.If combined with VFO,arteriosclerosis,hypertension,and hypertriglyceridemia,it will increase the risk of developing damp heat constitution.
