An Analysis of Nutritional Status and Influencing Factors in Elderly Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis
Objective:To investigate the nutritional status of elderly patients with rheumatoid arthritis and analyze its influencing factors.Methods:Convenience sampling was used to select 383 elderly patients with rheumatoid arthritis from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine as the research subjects.The patients were surveyed using a general information questionnaire,a health assessment questionnaire-disability index,a simplified intelligent mental state examination scale,and a hospital anxiety and depression scale.Results:The total nutritional score of 383 elderly patients with rheumatoid arthritis was(9.17±2.54).The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that educational level,monthly average income per family,types of disease-related drugs taken,anxiety and depression,and physical function were influencing factors on the nutritional status of elderly patients with rheumatoid arthritis(P<0.05).Conclusion:The incidence of malnutrition or the risk of malnutrition in elderly patients with rheumatoid arthritis is at a high level.Nursing staff should pay attention to their nutritional status,identify high-risk groups early,and develop effective preventive measures to reduce the incidence.
