A Retrospective Study on TCM Syndromes in 290 Patients with Ankylosing Spondylitis
Objective:To study the distribution pattern of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndromes in patients with ankylosing spondylitis and provide objective evidence for syndrome differentiation and classification. Methods:Two hundred and ninety patients with ankylosing spondylitis who were hospitalized in the Rheumatology Department of Yunnan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May 2018 to January 2022 were selected, and their clinical data,TCM syndromes, laboratory indicators, etc.were collected. Results:The distribution of TCM syndromes was in the following order:kidney deficiency and Du cold syndrome, kidney deficiency and damp heat syndrome, liver and kidney deficiency syndrome, and phlegm and blood stasis obstruction syndrome. There was a correlation between patient age and some laboratory tests.ESR,CRP,IgA,CH50,CHOL,and LDL-C of patients with ankylosing spondylitis were correlated with TCM syndromes. Conclusion:Patients with ankylosing spondylitis of phlegm and blood stasis obstruction syndrome are older in age,and the ESR,CRP,and CH50 of kidney deficiency and damp heat syndrome are higher than those of liver and kidney deficiency syndrome.CHOL,LDL-C,IgA,and CH50 are closely related to the differentiation of kidney deficiency and Du cold syndrome, kidney deficiency and damp heat syndrome, liver and kidney deficiency syndrome, and phlegm and blood stasis obstruction syndrome.
