Observation on the Effect of Pingle Zhenggu Functional Therapy on the Quality of Life,Anxiety and Pain of Patients with Knee Osteoarthritis
Objective:To explore the effects of Pingle Zhenggu Functional Therapy and Baduanjin on the quality of life, anxiety and pain of patients with knee osteoarthritis of grade Ⅰ to Ⅱ.Methods:Ninety-one patients with knee osteoarthritis were randomly divided into an observation group(45 cases)and a control group(46 cases). After admission, both groups were given conventional treatments such as Chinese medicine fumigation and washing and acupuncture. The control group was asked to do Baduanjin exercise, and the observation group was asked to do Pingle Zhenggu Functional Therapy exercise. Both groups were followed up for three months. On the day of hospitalization and three months after the visit, the Health Questionnaire(SF-36)was used to assess the quality of life of the patients;the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)was used to assess their anxiety, and the Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)was used to assess the pain. Results:Due to dropouts,40 cases were finally included in the observation group and 41 cases in the control group. After treatment, all dimensions of the SF-36 score of the two groups were higher than those before treatment(P<0.05),and the SAS score and VAS score were lower than those before treatment(P<0.05);there was no statistically significant difference in the SF-36 score and SAS score between the two groups(P>0.05);the VAS score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Pingle Zhenggu Functional Therapy can improve the quality of life of patients with knee osteoarthritis of grade Ⅰ to Ⅱ,relieve anxiety and reduce pain, and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
