Analysis of the Application Effect of Rhubarb Acupoint Application Guided by the Theory of Meridian Flow in Patients with Opioid Induced Constipation
Objective To explore the application effect of rhubarb acupoint application guided by the theory of meridian flow in patients with opioid induced constipation. Methods 90 patients with opioid induced constipation admitted to our hospital from January 2019 to April 2023 were selected as the research subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table method, with 45 cases in each group. The control group was given routine intervention, and the observation group was guided by meridian flow theory to apply rhubarb acupoint on the basis of the control group.Compare the clinical efficacy, severity of constipation, stool characteristics, frequency of bowel movements, time of symptom relief, and self-evaluation sc ale scores of constipation symptoms between two groups. At the same time, calculate the recurrence rate at one month of follow-up.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 91.11%,higher than 71.11% of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P﹤0.05).After treatment, the severity score of constipation and stool trait score in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the number of stools in the observation group was less than that in the control group, the symptom relief time in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P﹤0.05);the scores of fecal symptoms, rectal symptoms, and abdominal symptoms in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P﹤0.05).After one month of follow-up after treatment, the recurrence rate of the control group was 22.22%,which was higher than 4.44% of the observation group, and the difference was statistically significant(P﹤0.05).Conclusion The meridian flow theory guides the application of rhubarb acupoint application in patients with opioid-induced constipation, which can effectively relieve the degree of constipation, alleviate the time of symptom relief, and reduce the recurrence rate in the near future.
