Effect of Warming Acupuncture and Moxibustion Combined with Suspension Core Training on Lumbar Function and TCM Syndromes of Patients with Cold Dampness Type Lumbar Disc Herniation
Objective To explore the application effect of warming acupuncture and moxibustion combined with suspension core training in patients with cold damp lumbar disc herniation(LDH).Methods 86 patients with cold dampness type LDH admitted to our hospital from June 2021 to February 2023 were selected as the research subjects, divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table method. Both groups received routine rehabilitation intervention. The control group(n=43)received suspension core training. The observation group(n=43)combined warm acupuncture and moxibustion on the basis of the control group. Both groups continued to intervene for 6 weeks.Compare the lumbar spine function, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores, and pain levels between two groups. Results After intervention, the observation group had a higher score on the Japan Orthopedic Society Lumbar Function Scale than the control group, the scores of lower back pain, lower back and leg heaviness, leg numbness, and limb cooling were lower than those of the control group, the pain Visual Analog Scale scores was(2.17±0.47)points,lower than(2.83±0.55)points of the control group, the differences between groups were statistically significant(P﹤0.05).Conclusion Warming acupuncture and moxibustion combined with suspension core training can promote the recovery of lumbar spine function in patients with cold dampness type LDH,and alleviate clinical symptoms and pain levels.
