The Effect of Acupoint Application on the Degree of Abdominal Distension and Pain in Patients Undergoing Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal Surgery
Objective Analyzing the impact of acupoint application on patients undergoing laparoscopic gastrointestinal surgery.Methods Selecting 100 laparoscopic gastrointestinal surgery patients admitted to the hospital from October 2019 to December 2022 as the research subjects,divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table method,with 50 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Western medicine,while the observation group was treated with acupoint application in addition to the control group,continuous treatment for 3 days.Compare the clinical efficacy,severity of abdominal distension and pain,gastrointestinal function recovery,and adverse reactions between two groups.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 96.00%,which was higher than the control group's 82.00%,the difference between groups was statistically significant(P﹤0.05);the recovery time of bowel sounds in the observation group was(14.33±2.06)hours,the first time to exhaust was(17.41±2.64)hours,and the first time to defecate was(35.35±4.16)hours,which were shorter than the control group's(18.69±2.47)hours,(20.57±3.53)hours,and(39.84±5.26)hours,respectively,the differences between groups were statistically significant(P﹤0.05);before treatment,comparison of two groups of abdominal distension scores and the pain Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)scores,there were no statistically significant difference between groups(P﹥0.05);after treatment,the abdominal distension score and VAS score of the observation group were(1.28±0.17)points and(1.05±0.34)points,which were lower than the control group's(2.01±0.26)points and(2.49±0.63)points,the differences between groups were statistically significant(P﹤0.05);no adverse reactions occurred during the treatment of both groups.Conclusion Acupoint application can alleviate abdominal distension and pain symptoms in patients undergoing laparoscopic gastrointestinal surgery,and Can accelerate the recovery of gastrointestinal function.
