Effect of Proprioception Training Combined with Isokinetic Muscle Strength Training on Range of Knee Motion and Functional Recovery in Patients after Total Knee Arthroplasty
Objective To explore the effect of proprioceptive training combined with isokinetic muscle strength training on range of knee motion and functional recovery after total knee arthroplasty. Methods 86 patients after total knee arthroplasty admitted to Zouping City Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May 2022 to May 2023 were selected as the study objects and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to random number table method, with 43 cases in each group. The control group received proprioceptive training, and the observation group received proprioceptive training combined with isokinetic muscle strength training. The knee range of motion, knee function, ability of daily living and complications were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the knee flexion, extension and external rotation of the observation group were(139.54±8.51)°,(5.67±1.73)°and(35.58±2.42)°,respectively,which were greater than(127.28±8.75)°,(4.08±1.57)° and(23.94±2.33)°of the control group, the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P﹤0.05);the pain Visual Analogue Score of the observation group was(2.04±0.22)points,which was lower than(3.52±0.26)points of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P﹤0.05);the Hospital for Special Surgery knee joint score and Berg balance score of the observation group were(67.35±3.60)points and(49.08±3.11)points,respectively,which were higher than(52.17±3.46)points and(37.37±3.35)points of the control group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P﹤0.05);the activities of daily living score of the observation group was(83.74±4.53)points,which was higher than(71.46±4.22)points of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P﹤0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was 4.66%,lower than 23.26% in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P﹤0.05).Conclusion Proprioceptive training combined with isokinetic muscle strength training can improve knee joint motion, improve self-care ability and reduce complications of patients after total knee arthroplasty.
