Clinical Effect of Closed Reduction Elastic Intramedullary Nail in the Treatment of Femoral Fractures in Children
Objective Exploring the application effect of closed reduction elastic intramedullary nails femoral fractures in children. Methods Selecting 58 children with femoral fractures admitted to the hospital from February 2018 to February 2022 as the research subjects, and according to the random number table method, they were divided into a control group and an observation group, with 29 cases in each group.the control group underwent open reduction and bone plate internal fixation for treatment, the observation group treated with closed reduction and elastic intramedullary nail. The operative indexes, the postoperative complications and excellent recovery rate of affected limb function were compared between two groups. Results The length of the surgical incision in the observation group was(2.97±0.89)cm,which was shorter than(10.49±2.36)cm in the control group, the surgical bleeding volume(20.32±6.45)mL was less than the control group's(59.97±7.66)mL,the surgical time(32.43±5.62)min was shorter than the control group's(56.04±6.12)min,the differences between groups were statistically significant(P﹤0.05);the total incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was 3.45%,lower than the control group's 24.14%,the difference between groups was statistically significant(P﹤0.05);the excellent and good recovery rate of postoperative limb function in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, the difference between groups was statistically significant(P﹤0.05).Conclusion Closed reduction elastic intramedullary nail treatment can shorten the surgical time for femoral fracture in children, with small incision and low blood loss, which is conducive to fracture healing, can reduce postoperative complications and promote the recovery of affected limb function.
