Clinical Study on the Combination of Tobramycin Dexamethasone Eye Ointment and Wind-Eliminating Boosting Decoction in the Treatment of Dry Eye Syndrome after Cataract Surgery
Objective The clinical study of tobramycin dexamethasone eye ointment combined with Wind-Eliminating Boosting Decoction for dry eye syndrome after cataract surgery was analyzed. Methods Selecting 100 patients with dry eye syndrome after cataract surgery admitted to the hospital from August 2021 to August 2023 as the research subjects, divided into a control group and a study group using a random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was routinely treated with sodium hyaluronate eye drops, and the study group added tobramycin dexamethasone eye ointment to the control group.Compare the total effective rate,Schirmer I Test(SIT)distance,Corneal Fluorescein Staining(CFS)Score,Ocular Surface Disease Index(OSDI)Questionnaire,Break Up Time(BUT),inflammatory cytokine levels, and adverse reactions between two groups. Results The total effective rate of the research group was 98.00%,higher than 84.00%of the control group, the difference between groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The SIT and BUT of the study group were longer than those of the control group, and the CFS and OSDI scores were lower than those of the control group,interleukin-6,tumor necrosis factor-α level lower than the control group IL-6,the differences between groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Comparison of incidence rates of adverse reactions between two groups, there was no statistically significant difference between groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The use of tobramycin dexamethasone eye ointment combined with Wind-Eliminating Boosting Decoction in the treatment of dry eye syndrome after cataract surgery has significant therapeutic effects, can promote their recovery, improve the patient's ocular surface function, reduce inflammatory reactions, and has high safety.
