Effect of Xiaopi Decoction and Ginger Separated Moxibustion on Gastrointestinal Reaction after Chemotherapy for Breast Cancer
Objective To analyze the effect of Xiaopi Decoction combined with ginger separated moxibustion on gastrointestinal reaction after chemotherapy for breast cancer. Methods Eighty five patients with breast cancer treated with chemotherapy in this hospital from January 2021 to January 2023 were selected as the research objects, divided into a control group and an observation group using a computer random number table method. The control group(n=42)was treated with ginger separated moxibustion, while the observation group(n=43)was treated with Xiaopi decoction on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy,TCM syndrome scores, serum factors and gastrointestinal hormones, and gastrointestinal reactions of the two groups were compared before and after treatment. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 95.35%,which was higher than 80.95%of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).One day before the start of treatment, there were no statistically significant differences in the symptoms of abdominal distension, abdominal pain, nausea, acid reflux, and loose stools between the two groups(P>0.05).One day after the end of treatment, the symptom scores of abdominal distension, abdominal pain, nausea, acid reflux, and loose stools in the observation group were(1.11±0.04)points,(2.31±0.26)points,and(1.93±0.08)points,respectively,lower than the control group's(2.32±0.09)points,(3.09±0.34)points,and(2.31±0.10)points,the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).One day before the start of treatment, there were no statistically significant differences in the levels of calcitonin gene related peptide(CGRP),ghrelin, and 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT)between the two groups(P>0.05).One day after the end of treatment, the levels of CGRP,ghrelin, and 5-HT in the observation group were(92.31±2.05)pg/mL,(70.60±10.23)ng/mL,and(279.71±52.17)ng/mL,respectively,higher than(83.01±2.10)pg/mL,(61.25±8.29)ng/mL,and(235.38±41.11)ng/mL in the control group, the differences between groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of gastrointestinal adverse reactions in the observation group was 11.63%,lower than the control group's 30.95%,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Xiaopi decoction combined with ginger separated moxibustion is helpful to regulate gastrointestinal factors in patients with breast cancer after chemotherapy, reduce their gastrointestinal adverse reactions, and is safe and practical.
