Effects of Mild Hypothermia Combined with Phenobarbital on Oxidative Stress and Myocardial Injury Markers in Neonatal Asphyxia
Objective To investigate the effect of mild hypothermia combined with phenobarbital on neonatal asphyxia. Methods 80 cases of neonatal asphyxia admitted to this hospital from February 2020 to October 2023 were selected as the study objects and divided into a control group and an observation group according to the random number table method. The control group(n=40)was treated with phenobarbital, and the observation group(n=40)was treated with mild hypothermia on the basis of the control group. The related clinical indicators, oxidative stress indicators, myocardial injury markers, and brain tissue injury related indicators were compared between the two groups. Results The consciousness recovery time, reflex recovery time, hospitalization time and muscle tension recovery time of the observation group were(3.77±0.31)d,(6.41±1.12)d,(13.02±2.74)d,(6.17±1.14)d,respectively,which were shorter than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of neuron-specific enolase, malondialdehyde, troponin T,creatine kinase isoenzyme and astroglia-derived protein in the observation group were(9.31±1.58)U/mL,(2.12±0.67)μmol/L,(0.44±0.11)μg/L,(66.73±9.33)U/L and(3.02±1.0)ng/mL,respectively,which were lower than those in the control group. The levels of superoxide dismutase and glutathione were(98.55±10.57)U/L and(112.53±12.08)U/L,respectively,which were higher than those in the control group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Mild hypothermia combined with phenobarbital in the treatment of neonatal asphyxia can promote the improvement of clinical indicators, reduce oxidative stress, alleviate myocardial injury, and reduce the degree of brain tissue damage.
