Application of Acupuncture at Eight Acupoints Combined with Cognitive Function Rehabilitation Training in Cognitive Dysfunction Patients with Cerebral Infarction
Objective To explore the effect of acupuncture at eight acupoints combined with cognitive function rehab-ilitation training in patients with cognitive dysfunction after cerebral infarction. Methods 124 patients with cerebral infarction and cognitive dysfunction admitted to this hospital from February 2022 to June 2023 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into a study group(n=62)and a control group(n=62)by random number table method. The control group was treated with cognitive function rehabilitation training, and the study group was treated with eight acupoints acupuncture combined with cognitive function rehabilitation training. The mental state, cognitive function, neurological function, daily living ability and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results Before the intervention, there were no significant differences in the scores of Mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE)and Hasegawa Dementia Scale(HDS)between the two groups(P>0.05).After intervention, the MMSE score and HDS score of the study group were(22.51±2.95)points and(26.11±3.46)points,respectively,which were higher than(17.16±2.38)points and(24.13±3.09)points of the control group, and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Before intervention, there were no statistically significant differences in the scores of National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)and Barthel Index(BI)between the two groups(P>0.05).After intervention, the NIHSS score of the study group was(7.12±1.92)points,which was lower than(10.24±2.18)points of the control group, and the BI score was(82.13±4.57)points,which was higher than(79.95±4.19)points of the control group, and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Before intervention, there was no statistically significant difference in Stroke Impact Scale(SIS)score between the two groups(P>0.05).After intervention, the SIS score of the study group was(86.62±5.06)points,which was higher than(83.76±4.88)points of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Eight acupoints acupuncture combined with cognitive function rehabilitation training in patients with cerebral infarction and cognitive dysfunction can promote the improvement of mental state and cognitive function, improve nerve function and daily living ability, and improve the quality of life.
