Effect of Intensive Training of Core Muscle Group Combined with Otago Exercise Therapy on Pain Level and Hip Function in Patients after Hip Arthroplasty
Objective To explore the effect of intensive training of core muscle group combined with Otago exercise therapy on hip function and pain after hip arthroplasty. Methods 96 patients after hip arthroplasty admitted to Sishui County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2022 to May 2023 were selected and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to random number table method, with 48 cases in each group. The control group received Otago exercise training, and the observation group received intensive training of core muscle group combined with Otago exercise therapy. The degree of pain, hip function and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the pain Visual Analogue Scale score of the observation group was(1.74±0.62)points,which was lower than(3.80±0.85)points of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of joint function, joint mobility, pain degree and joint deformity in the Harris hip function scale of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of generic quality of life inventory-74 in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Intensive training of core muscle group combined with Otago exercise therapy can effectively reduce the pain degree of patients after hip arthroplasty, promote the recovery of hip function and improve their quality of life.
