Study on the Efficacy of Gamma Globulin and Sequential Therapy with Azithromycin in the Treatment of Severe Mycoplasma Pneumoniae Pneumonia in Children
Objective Analyze the efficacy of gamma globulin and sequential therapy with azithromycin in the treatment of severe mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia(SMPP)in children. Methods 80 children with SMPP admitted to the hospital from January 2021 to October 2023 were selected as the research subjects, divided them into a control group and a research group using a random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group received sequential therapy with azithromycin, and the research group combined with gamma globulin therapy on the basis of the control group. The efficacy, time for symptom and sign resolution,C-reactive protein(CRP),and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)level and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the research group was 95.00%,which was higher than 77.50%of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The time of fever relief, disappearance of lung moist rales, and disappearance of cough in the research group were shorter than those in the control group, the differences between two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the TNF-α and the CRP levels in the research group were lower than those in the control group, the differences between two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Comparison of incidence rates of adverse reactions between two groups, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion The combination of gamma globulin and sequential therapy with azithromycin has a definite effect on the treatment of childhood SMPP,which can promote the rapid resolution of symptoms and signs in children, inhibit the body's inflammatory response, and has clinical application value.
