Effect of Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupoint Application Combined with Terbutaline Nebulization on Inflammatory Response and Symptom Disappearance Time in Children with Bronchopneumonia
Objective To investigate the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine acupoint application combined with terbutaline nebulization in children with bronchopneumonia. Methods 90 children with bronchopneumonia admitted to Gaotang County People's Hospital from May 2021 to February 2023 were selected as the study objects, and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to random number table method, with 45 cases in each group. The control group was treated with terbutaline nebulization, and the observation group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine acupoint application combined with terbutaline nebulization. Both groups were treated for 7 days. The inflammatory response and the time of symptom disappearance were compared between the two groups. Results The levels of interleukin-6 and hypersensitive C-reactive protein in the observation group after treatment were(18.85±2.99)ng/mL and(4.48±0.92)mg/L,respectively,which were lower than(26.25±4.39)ng/mL and(10.65±2.03)mg/L in the control group, the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).The disappearance time of fever, cough, wheezing and pulmonary rale in the observation group were(1.03±0.19)d,(4.77±1.10)d,(3.29±0.68)d and(3.25±0.77)d,respectively,which were shorter than(1.58±0.32)d,(7.26±1.25)d,(5.53±1.02)d and(6.17±1.23)d in the control group, and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Traditional Chinese medicine acupoint application combined with terbutaline nebulization can reduce the inflammatory response of children with bronchopneumonia and promote the regression of clinical symptoms.
