Effect of Walking Stability Training Based on Mirror Neuron Theory Combined with Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation in the Treatment of Stroke Hemiplegia
Objective To observe the effect of walking stability training based on mirror neuron theory combined with neuromuscular electrical stimulation in the treatment of stroke hemiplegia. Methods 64 patients with stroke hemiplegia admitted to Shuyang Mercy Hospital Rehabilitation Department from September 2021 to June 2023 were selected as the study objects and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to random number table method, with 32 cases in each group. The control group received the walking stability training based on the mirror neuron theory, and the observation group received the neuromuscular electrical stimulation on the basis of the control group. Both groups continued the intervention for 8 weeks. The Fugl-Meyer assessment lower extremity scale(FMA-LE)score,Berg balance scale(BBS)score and Tinetti gait assessment scale(TGA)score, functional ambulation category scale(FAC)scores and stroke specific quality of life scale(SS-QOL)score of the two groups were compared. Results Before intervention, there were no significant differences in the FMA-LE,BBS,TGA,FAC and SS-QOL scores between the two groups(P>0.05);after 8 weeks of intervention, the scores of FMA-LE,BBS,TGA,FAC and SS-QOL in the observation group were(26.07±3.24)points,(45.65±4.28)points,(21.76±2.10)points,(4.05±0.40)points and(161.33±16.74)points,respectively,which were higher than(23.65±4.27)points,(23.65±4.27)points,(18.16±3.35)points,(3.63±0.62)points and(150.09±17.25)points in the control group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The walking stability training based on mirror neuron theory combined with neuromuscular electrical stimulation can effectively improve the limb motor function, walking and balance ability of stroke patients with hemiplegia, and improve their quality of life.
