Observation on the Rehabilitation Effect of Relaxation Training on Patients with Generalized Anxiety Disorder
Objective To investigate the effect of relaxation training in the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder(GAD).Methods 80 GAD patients admitted to Shihezi Oasis Hospital from February 2023 to September 2023 were selected as the study objects and were divided into a control group and an observation group by random number table method. The control group(n=40)received routine intervention, and the observation group(n=40)received relaxation training on this basis. The degree of anxiety and depression, perceived pressure and sleep quality were compared between the two groups. Results Before intervention, there were no significant differences in the scores of Generalized Anxiety Disorder scale 7(GAD-7)and Patient Health Questionnaire 9(PHQ-9)between the two groups(P>0.05);after intervention, the GAD-7 and PHQ-9 scores of the observation group were(6.33±1.25)points and(6.92±1.35)points,respectively,which were lower than(9.25±2.58)points and(10.29±2.53)points of the control group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Before intervention, there were no significant differences in Chinese Perceived Stress Scale(CPSS)and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)scores between the two groups(P>0.05);after intervention, the CPSS and PSQI scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Relaxation training can significantly improve the anxiety and depression symptoms, reduce the perceived pressure level and improve the sleep quality of GAD patients.
