The Effect of Prenatal Triple Relaxation Training Combined with Free Position Intervention of Birthing Ball on Fear of Delivery and Labor Pain in Primiparous Women Undergoing Vaginal Delivery
Objective To explore the effects of prenatal triple relaxation training combined with free position intervention of birthing ball on fear of labor, labor pain and labor outcome of parturients in vaginal delivery. Methods 68 primiparous women undergoing vaginal delivery admitted to our hospital from May 2020 to May 2023 were selected as the research subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table method, with 34 cases in each group. The control group received the prenatal triple relaxation training, and the observation group received the prenatal triple relaxation training combined with the free position intervention of the birth ball. The degree of labor fear, labor pain, labor control and labor outcome were compared between the two groups. Results The observation group had lower scores of fetal safety fear, delivery pain fear, delivery loss of control fear, and hospital environment fear in the delivery fear scale compared to the control group, the pain Visual Analogue Scale and Pain Rating Index scores of the first, second, and third stages of labor were lower than those of the control group, the scores of the Labour Agentry Scale and the Birth Self Efficacy Scale in the control group were higher than those in the control group, the difference between groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).The observation group had lower labor process time was shorter than that in the control group,24-hour postpartum bleeding was less than that in the control group, and the newborn Apgar score was higher than the control group, the differences between groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Prenatal triple relaxation training combined with free position intervention can alleviate the fear of childbirth, reduce the degree of labor pain, enhance the sense of control of labor, and improve the outcome of labor.
