The Impact of Social Cognition and Interactive Training on Stigma and Social Support in Patients with Schizophrenia
Objective To explore the impact of implementing social cognitive and interactive training(SCIT)on stigma and social support in patients with schizophrenia.Methods 82 schizophrenic patients admitted to Huarui Psychiatric Hospital in Lanling from May 2021 to May 2023 were selected as the study objects,and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to random number table method,with 41 cases in each group.The control group received conventional intervention,and the observation group received SCIT,all of which were evaluated after 3 months of intervention.The stigma,social support and psychiatric symptoms were compared between the two groups.Results Before intervention,there were no significant differences in stigma,social support and mental symptoms between the two groups(P>0.05);after the intervention,the discrimination scale score(16.18±1.92)points,the disease masking score(14.15±1.76)points and the positive effect score(10.67±1.23)points of the psychiatric patients in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group,the objective support score(18.31±1.75)points,subjective support score(25.13±2.86)points and support utilization score(8.92±1.63)points of the social support rating scale were higher than those of the control group,the positive symptom score(16.46±1.73)points,negative symptom score(15.77±1.39)points and general pathological symptom score(28.43±3.19)points of the negative and positive symptom scales were lower than those of the control group,and the differences between groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Implementing SCIT in patients with schizophrenia can alleviate mental symptoms,stigma,and improve social support levels.
