Comparison of Therapeutic Effects and Joint Function Effects of Massage,Traditional Chinese Herbal Fumigation,and Electroacupuncture on Patients with Radial Styloid Tenosynovitis
Objective Comparison of therapeutic effects and joint function effects of massage,traditional Chinese herbal fumigation,and electroacupuncture in the treatment of patients with radial styloid tenosynovitis.Methods Selecting 80 patients with radial styloid tenosynovitis admitted to the hospital from January 2020 to August 2023 as the study subjects,divide them into a study group and a control group using a random number grouping method,with 40 cases in each group.The control group was treated with electroacupuncture,and the study group was treated with massage,traditional Chinese herbal fumigation and electroacupuncture.Compare the total effective rate and the pain Visual Analogue Score(VAS)and joint function score before and after treatment,as well as the complications of the two groups were investigated.Results The total effective rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group,the differences between groups was statistically significant(P＜0.05);after 15 days of treatment,the Cooney wrist function score of the study group was(90.52±3.14)points,which was higher than(79.63±3.65)points of the control group the wrist ulnar devition range was(25.72±1.74)°,shich was greater than(22.25±1.19)°of the control group.The VAS score of the study group was(1.68±0.29)points,which was lower than(2.74±0.55)points of the control group,and the differences between groups were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Comparison of incidence rates of complications between two groups,there was no statistically significant difference between groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion Massage,traditional Chinese herbal fumigation and electroacupuncture have a good effect on the treatment of radial styloid tenosynovitis,which can significantly promote joint function improvement,reduce pain levels,and do not significantly increase complications,with high safety.
