Clinical Effect of Otolaryngology Professional Cefdinil and Amoxicillin-Clavulanate Potassium in the Treatment of Acute Otitis Media in Children
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of cefdinil and amoxicillin-clavulanate potassium in the treatment of acute otitis media in children. Methods 80 children with acute otitis media admitted to the hospital from March 2022 to March 2023 were selected as the research objects and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with amoxicillin-clavulanate potassium, and the experimental group was treated with cefdinil.Compared with the time of symptom relief, the level of inflammatory factors before and after treatment, the occurrence of adverse reactions and the treatment effect. Results The relief time for ear pain, tinnitus, tympanic membrane congestion, and hearing loss in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, and the difference between the groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before and after treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in the levels of C-reactive protein, tumor necrosis factor-α,interleukin-6,and interleukin-1β between the two groups(P>0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was 97.50%,which was higher than the 80.00%of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Both drugs are safe and reliable, and the 5-day treatment effect of cefdinib is better than that of amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium, with a significant improvement in clinical symptoms. It is recommended for the treatment of acute otitis media in children.
