A Survey on the Nutritional Status of Elderly Dementia Patients and Its Influencing Factors Through Logistic Regression Analysis
Objective To explore the nutritional status of elderly dementia patients and its influencing factors by Logistic regression analysis. Methods Clinical data of 77 patients with senile dementia admitted to our hospital from January 2021 to August 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.Nutritional status assessment was performed on all patients, and they were divided into a malnutrition group and a normal nutrition group.Basic data such as age, gender, education level, marital status, monthly family income, smoking status, drinking status, number of chronic diseases, combined depression and oral health status of the two groups were collected, and logistic regression analysis was performed to obtain the high-risk factors affecting the nutritional status. Results Among the 77 patients,37 cases were accompanied by malnutrition 48.05%.There were significant differences in age, marital status, monthly family income, number of chronic diseases, combined depression and oral health between the two groups(P<0.05).Multiple factors showed that age≥75 years old(OR=3.102,95%confidence interval=1.201~8.008),divorced OR widowed(OR=5.250,95%confidence interval=1.909~14.437),monthly family income<5000 yuan(OR=4.400,95%confidence interval=1.666~11.619),number of chronic diseases≥2(OR=3.125,95%confidence interval=1.227~7.959),combined depression(OR=2.726,95%confidence interval=1.078~6.894),poor oral health(OR=3.429,95%confidence interval=1.344~8.750)was a high risk factor affecting the nutritional status of Alzheimer's patients(P<0.05 and OR>1).Conclusion Malnutrition in elderly dementia patients is closely related to age≥75 years old, divorce or widowhood, monthly family income<5000 yuan, number of chronic diseases≥2,comorbidities with depression, and poor oral health.Targeted management is needed to correct the nutritional status of the body.
