Effect of Family Music Therapy Combined with Kangaroo Nursing on the Behavioral and Neurological Abilities of Premature Infants in NICU and the Psychological State of Mothers
Objective To explore the effects of family music therapy(FMT)combined with kangaroo nursing on the behavioral and neurological abilities of premature infants in the neonatal intensive care unit(NICU)and the psychological status of mothers.Methods 84 NICU premature infants admitted to Weihai Maternal and Child Health Hospital from June 2020 to September 2023 were selected as the research subjects.They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group,with 47 cases in each group.The control group received routine care,while the observation group received FMT combined with kangaroo nursing.Compare the behavioral and neurological abilities,physical development,and maternal psychological status of premature infants between two groups.Results Before nursing,there was no statistically significant difference in the scores of the Neonatal Behavioral Neurological Assessment(NBNA),head circumference,body length,and weight between the two groups(P＞0.05);after nursing,the NBNA score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,with a head circumference larger than that of the control group,a body length longer than that of the control group,and a weight heavier than that of the control group,and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Before nursing,there was no statistically significant difference in the scores of the Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS)between the two groups(P＞0.05);after nursing,the SAS and SDS scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,and there was a statistically significant difference between the groups(P＜0.05).Conclusion Implementing FMT combined with kangaroo nursing in NICU premature infants can effectively improve their behavioral and neurological abilities,enhance their physical development,and alleviate the mother's psychological state.
