Clinical Effect and Safety of Azithromycin Sequential Therapy in the Treatment of Mycoplasma Pneumoniae Pneumonia in Children
Objective To analyze the effect of azithromycin sequential therapy on mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia in children.Methods 200 children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia admitted to our hospital from June 2021 to May 2023 were selected as the research subjects.They were randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group using a random number table method,with 100 cases in each group.The control group was treated with erythromycin sequential therapy,while the experimental group was treated with azithromycin sequential therapy.Both groups were treated for 14 days.The levels of inflammatory factors,the time of symptom relief,the treatment effect and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared.Results Before treatment,there was no statistically significant difference in the levels of inflammatory factors between the two groups(P>0.05);after 14 days of treatment,the level of tumor necrosis factor-α was(7.13±1.28)ng/mL,the level of interleukin-6 was(61.32±2.35)pg/mL,and the level of hypersensitive C-reactive protein was(1.31±0.28)mg/L in the experimental group,which were lower than(9.24±1.58)ng/mL,(84.48±2.17)pg/mL,and(2.16±0.23)mg/L in the control group,with statistically significant differences between the groups(P<0.05).The relief time for fever,cough,and lung moist rales in the experimental group were shorter than those in the control group,and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the experimental group was 99.00%,which was higher than the control group's 85.00%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the experimental group was 2.00%,lower than the control group's 10.00%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Azithromycin sequential therapy has a good clinical effect in children with mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia,which can improve the degree of disease control of children and eliminate their clinical symptoms as soon as possible,with few adverse reactions.
