Effect of Dynamic Ankle Joint Loosening on Foot Drop Improvement in Stroke Patients
Objective To investigate the effect of dynamic ankle joint loosening in patients with foot drop after stroke. Methods 70 patients with post-stroke foot drop admitted to the Rehabilitation Department of Shanxi Acupuncture Hospital from June 2020 to June 2021 were selected as the study objects and were divided into a study group and a control group by random number table method, with 35 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine rehabilitation treatment, and the study group was treated with dynamic ankle joint loosening on the basis of this. The intervention effects of the two groups were compared. Results Before treatment, there was no significant difference in active dorsiflexion motion between the two groups(P>0.05);after treatment, the active dorsiflexion motion of ankle joint in the study group was(12.64±4.01)°,which was greater than(9.93±3.22)° in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no significant differences in active dorsiflexion muscle strength and standing score with closed eyes between the two groups(P>0.05);after treatment, the active dorsiflexion muscle strength of the study group was(4.07±1.75)grades,and the standing score with closed eyes was(3.67±1.94)points,which were higher than(2.74±1.32)grades and(2.93±1.52)points of the control group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Dynamic ankle joint loosening can effectively increase the active ankle motion of stroke patients with foot drop, improve the dorsiflexion muscle strength of the ankle, and improve the standing balance function with closed eyes, which is worthy of clinical application.
