Effect of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture with Early Rehabilitation Training in Patients with Cerebral Infarction and Limb Dysfunction
Objective To evaluate the effect of traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture and early rehabilitation training in patients with cerebral infarction and limb dysfunction. Methods 90 patients with limb dysfunction due to cerebral infarction who were admitted by the Rehabilitation Department and the acupuncture and moxibustion Department of Taizhou Integrated Hospital of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine from August 2020 to August 2023 were selected as the research objects, and they were randomly divided into the control group and the treatment group, with 45 cases in each group. The control group received early rehabilitation training, while the treatment group received traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture combined with early rehabilitation training.Compare the motor function, daily living ability, neurological function, and treatment effects between two groups. Results Before the treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in the upper limb Fugl Meyer Motor Function Assessment(FMA),lower limb FMA,and Barthel index score between the two groups(P>0.05);after 4 weeks of treatment, the upper limb FMA,lower limb FMA,and Barthel index score of the treatment group were(52.78±4.35)points,(26.35±3.47)points,and(70.58±4.62)points,respectively,which were higher than the control group's(45.37±2.67)points,(21.48±2.65)points,and(64.38±5.23)points,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in NHISS scores between the two groups(P>0.05);after 2 and 4 weeks of treatment, the NHISS scores of the treatment group were(17.32±2.45)points and(12.34±1.53)points,respectively,which were lower than the control group's(18.67±3.05)points and(15.41±2.04)points,with statistical significance(P<0.05);The total effective rate of the treatment group was 95.56%,higher than 80.00%of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The effect of traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture with early rehabilitation training can obviously alleviate the patients with cerebral infarction and limb dysfunction degree of neurological deficit and improve the limb movement function and quality of life.
