Clinical Efficacy Analysis of Allopurinol Combined with Febuxostat in the Treatment of Patients with Acute Arthritis of Gout
Objective To analyze the clinical efficacy of allopurinol combined with febuxostat in the treatment of acute arthritis of gout. Methods 62 patients with acute arthritis of grout treated in Yangxin County People's Hospital of Shandong Province from May 2021 to May 2023 were selected as the research objects and divided into a treatment group and a control group, with 31 cases in each group. The control group was treated with allopurinol, and the treatment group was treated with allopurinol and febuxostat. Both groups were treated for 1 week.Pain Visual Analogue Scale(VAS),erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),C-reactive protein(CRP)and blood uric acid(UA)levels were compared between the two groups. Results The total clinical effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no significant difference in VAS scores between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,VAS scores in both groups were lower than before treatment, and the treatment group was lower than the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no significant difference in ESR and CRP levels between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the levels of ESR and CRP in both groups were lower than before treatment, and the treatment group was lower than the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no significant difference in UA levels between the two groups(P>0.05).After 1 week of treatment, the UA level in both groups was lower than before treatment, and the treatment group was lower than the control group, but the differences were not statistically significant(P>0.05).After 1 month of treatment, the UA level in both groups was lower than before treatment, and the treatment group was lower than the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Allopurinol combined with febuxoat is more effective than allopurinol alone in the treatment of acute arthritis of gout. This combined treatment strategy can not only relieve joint pain more effectively, but also better control blood uric acid level, providing a new perspective for the treatment of acute arthritis of gout.
