Effect of Electric Muscle Vibrator Combined with Stretching Training on Muscle Tone and Daily Living Ability in Patients with Spastic Hemiplegia after Stroke
Objective To explore the effects of electric muscle vibration combined with stretching training on muscle tone and daily living ability in patients with spastic hemiplegia after stroke. Methods Fifty eight patients with post-stroke spastic hemiplegia admitted to Xishan People's Hospital in Wuxi from September 2021 to September 2023 were selected as the research objects and were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 29 cases in each group. The control group was given stretching training to the patients, while the observation group was given an electric muscle vibrator on the basis of the control group.Compare muscle tone, limb function, spasticity, balance ability, and daily living ability between two groups of patients. Results After intervention, the muscle tone level of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, with a statistical difference(P<0.05).After intervention, the Fugl Meyer Movement Assessment and Barthel Index scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, while the Comprehensive Spasm Scale scores of the hemiplegic lower limb were lower than those of the control group, with statistical differences(P<0.05).After intervention, the Berg Balance Scale score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, with a statistical difference(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of an electric muscle vibrator combined with stretching training to intervene in patients with spastic hemiplegia after stroke can help improve muscle tone, enhance limb function, daily living ability, and balance ability, and reduce the degree of limb spasms.
