Therapeutic Effect of Modified Taohong Siwu Decoction Combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine Application in the Treatment of Traumatic Fractures of the Limbs And Its Impact on Hemorheological and Inflammatory Indicators in Patients
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Taohong Siwu Decoction combined with traditional Chinese medicine application in the treatment of traumatic fracture of extremities. Methods A total of 84 patients with traumatic fractures of the limbs admitted to our hospital from January 2021 to August 2023 were selected as the research subjects, dividedinto a control group and an observation group using a random number table method, with 42 cases in each group. The two groups were treated with open reduction and internal fixation, the control group was treated with routine treatment after operation, and the observation group was treated with modified Taohong Siwu Decoction combined with traditional Chinese medicine application on the basis of the control group, and both groups continued for 7 days. The recovery, hemorheology, inflammation and adverse reactions of the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the recovery of limb swelling, fracture healing, and hospitalization time in the observation group were(28.96±2.85)d,(70.58±6.12)d,and(10.35±1.26)d,respectively,which were shorter than the control group's(31.54±3.29)d,(80.34±7.58)d,and(12.89±1.32)d,the differences between groups were statistically significant(P<0.05);after treatment, the low blood viscosity, high blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, and erythrocyte sedimentation rate of the observation group were(9.02±1.14)mPa·s,(3.25±0.41)mPa·s,(1.61±0.24)mPa·s,and(11.02±1.25)mm/h,respectively,lower than(11.83±1.22)mPa·s,(4.28±0.46)mPa·s,(2.05±0.28)mPa·s,and(14.18±1.34)mm/h of the control group, the differences between groups were statistically significant(P<0.05);after treatment,C-reactive protein, tumor necrosis factor-α,and white blood cell count levels of the observation group were(6.85±1.12)mg/L,(18.63±1.42)ng/L,and(7.02±1.13)×109/L,respectively,lower than the control group's(9.31±1.28)mg/L,(22.35±2.48)ng/L,and(8.96±1.22)×109/L,the differences between groups were statistically significant(P<0.05);the adverse reactions of the two groups were compared, the differences was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion Modified Taohong Siwu Decoction combined with traditional Chinese medicine application can accelerate the postoperative recovery of patients with traumatic fracture of limbs, correct the abnormal hemorheology, reduce the inflammatory reaction, and is safe and reliable.
