Clinical Efficacy Observation of Yinyan Qing Combined with Tinidazole in the Treatment of Periodontitis with Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Yinyan Qing combined with tinidazole in the treatment of periodontitis with Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine.Methods A total of 100 patients with periodontitis treated at the Department of Stomatology,Yangdong District People's Hospital,Yangjiang City,from March 2022 to March 2023 were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group,with 50 cases in each group.Both groups of patients received conventional periodontal bosic treatment and oral hygiene guidance.The control group was orally treated with tinidazole tablets,and the observation group was treated with Yinyan Qing on the basis of the control group,both groups the course of treatment was 30 days.The efficacy,periodontal indexes,traditional Chinese medicine symptoms score,and adverse reactions of the two groups were evaluated at the end of the treatment course,and the recurrence rate was assessed during a 6-month follow-up.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 100.00%,which was higher than the control group's 90.00%,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the plaque index,bleeding index,periodontal pocket probe depth,and tooth looseness of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the traditional Chinese medicine symptom score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group,and the recurrence rate was lower than that of the control group,the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Both groups did not experience significant adverse reactions.Conclusion The combine use of Yinyan Qing and tinidazole in treating periodontitis with integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine is superior to the using of tinidazole alone,significantly improving periodontal indexes and clinical symptoms,with high safety and low recurrence rate.
