Effect of VHI Based Voice Training Combined with Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation on the Rehabilitation of Vocal Cord Paralysis Patients after Radical Surgery:for Thyroid Cancer
Objective To investigate the effect of voice training combined with neuromuscular electrical stimulation based on Voice Handicap Index(VHI)on vocal cord paralysis patients after radical for thyroid cancer surgery. Methods A total of 100 patients with vocal cord paralysis after radical thyroidectomy in Tengzhou Workers'Hospital from September 2020 to September 2022 were selected as the research objects, and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The control group received neuromuscular electrical stimulation, and the observation group received voice training based on VHI.The degree of voice disturbance, voice function and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results The score and total score of VHI and the score of subjective auditory evaluation of voice in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences between groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Voice training based on VHI combined with neuromuscular electrical stimulation can significantly reduce voice dysfunction and promote the improvement of voice function.
