Effects of Salvianolic Acid Injection Combined with Edaravone on Neurological Function,Serum Inflammatory Factors and Prognosis in Elderly Patients with Acute Cerebral Infarction
Objective To investigate the effects of salvianolic acid injection combined with edaravone on neurological function,serum inflammatory factors,and prognosis in elderly patients with acute cerebral infarction(ACI).Methods Eighty elderly ACI patients admitted to the Geriatrics Department of Jinan Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine from April 2022 to August 2023 were selected as the research objects,and were divided into a control group and an observation group by random number table method,with 40 cases in each group.The control group was treated with edaravone,and the observation group was treated with salvianolic acid injection combined with Edaravone.The two groups were treated continuously for 2 weeks.The clinical efficacy,serum inflammatory factors,neurological function,activities of daily living,prognosis and occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 95.00%,which was higher than 77.50%of the control group,and the good prognosis rate was 77.50%,which was higher than 50.50%of the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of C-reactive protein,interleukin-6 and erythrocyte sedimentation rate in observation group were lower than those in control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group,and the Activity of Daily Living scale score was higher than that of the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The combination of salvianolic acid injection and edaravone has a significant effect on the treatment of elderly ACI patients.It can regulate the levels of serum inflammatory factors,restore the patient's neurological function,improve their daily living activities,and ensure medication safety.
