Comparison of the Effectiveness and Safety of Total Hip Replacement and Artificial Femoral Head Replacement in the Treatment of Elderly Femoral Neck Fractures
Objective To investigate the effect of total hip replacement and artificial femoral head replacement on senile femoral neck fracture(FNF).Methods A total of 78 elderly patients with FNF admitted to Jinxiang County People's Hospital from April 2020 to April 2023 were selected as the research objects,and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to random number table method,with 39 cases in each group.The control group underwent artificial femoral head replacement,the observation group underwent total hip replacement,and were followed up for 6 months.Perioperative indexes,hip function,quality of life and complications were compared between the two groups.Results The intraoperative blood loss and postoperative drainage volume in the observation group were(425.97±23.65)mL and(143.21±11.59)mL,both of which were greater than(258.63±15.69)mL and(90.35±8.26)mL in the control group,and the operative time was(103.47±9.18)min,it was longer than(89.83±7.35)min of the control group,and the differences between groups were statistically significant(P＜0.05).6 months after surgery,the hip Harris rating scale score of the observation group was(83.21±7.11)points,and the General Quality of Life Inventory-74 scores were(76.89±5.01)points,(80.43±4.29)points,(76.85±4.38)points,(79.64±4.11)points,respectively,they were higher than(69.83±6.20)points,(68.53±4.16)points,(67.56±3.41)points,(68.73±3.95)points and(71.56±3.59)points in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion Although total hip replacement can prolong the surgical time,increase bleeding and drainage volume,it can better promote hip joint function recovery and improve quality of life in elderly patients with FNF,without serious complications,and has certain application value.
