Effects of Warm Acupuncture Combined with Hip and Knee Training on Inflammatory Factors and Blood Viscosity in Patients with Knee Osteoarthritis
Objective To investigate the clinical effects of warm acupuncture combined with hip and knee training on knee osteoarthritis(KOA).Methods A total of 102 patients with KOA admitted to Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital Affliated to Zhejiang University School of Medicine from January 2022 to January 2024 were selected as the research objects and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to double-blind method, with 51 cases in each group. The control group received hip and knee training, and the observation group received warm acupuncture intervention on this basis. Both groups were treated for 1 month. The knee pain degree, knee function score, inflammatory factor levels and blood viscosity levels were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the knee pain Visual Analogue Scale score of the observation group was(3.27±0.76)points,lower than(4.78±1.52)points of the control group, and the knee function score was(73.21±17.64)points,higher than(64.35±15.52)points of the control group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the levels of inflammatory factor levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the blood viscosity indexes of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Warm acupuncture combined with hip and knee training have significant effects on patients with KOA,which can relieve knee pain, improve knee function, reduce the level of inflammatory factors and blood viscosity, and is worthy of clinical promotion.
