Application Value of Warm Acupuncture and Moxibustion in Traditional Chinese Medicine Combined with Pivot Meridian Massage in Patients with Lumbar Disc Herniation
Objective To explore the application value of warm acupuncture and moxibustion in traditional Chinese medicine combined with pivot meridian massage in patients with lumbar disc herniation(LDH).Methods Selecting 70 LDH patients admitted to Yicheng District People's Hospital in Zaozhuang City from June 2020 to March 2022 as the research subjects, divide them into a control group and an observation group using a random number table method, with 35 cases in each group. The control group was given routine rehabilitation training intervention, and the observation group was given warming acupuncture and moxibustion in traditional Chinese medicine combined with pivot meridian massage intervention on the basis of the control group, both groups continued to intervene for 2 weeks.Compare the degree of pain, levels of inflammatory factors, and lumbar spine function between two groups. Results Before intervention, comparison of pain severity, inflammatory cytokine levels, and lumbar spine function between two groups, there were no statistically significant differences between groups(P>0.05).After intervention, the Visual Analogue Scale score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the levels of tumor necrosis factor-α,interleukin-1β,interleukin-6,and C-reactive protein were all lower than those of the control group. The Oswestry Disability Index score was lower than that of the control group, and the Japanese Orthopedic Association score was higher than that of the control group, the differences between groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of warm acupuncture and moxibustion in traditional Chinese medicine combined with pivot meridian massage in patients with LDH can effectively reduce pain, inflammatory reaction and improve lumbar function.
