Effect of Functional Training on Spinal Muscle Morphology in Adolescent Ptients with Idiopathic Scoliosis under Ultrasound
Objective To investigate the effect of functional training for 1 month on the shape of the muscles around the spine in adolescent patients with idiopathic scoliosis(AIS).Methods Thirty AIS patients admitted to the Rehabilitation Department of Kunming Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from August 2022 to March 2023 were selected as the study subjects.Functional training was performed for 1 month. The Cobb Angle was measured before and after treatment, and the muscle thickness around the top cone was detected by ultrasound. Results After 1 month of training, the thickness of the left and right muscle groups of the top cone in 30 patients was thicker than before training, and the difference between the left and right muscle thickness was smaller than before training, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the Cobb Angle of 30 patients was lower than before training, and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion 1 month functional training can increase the muscle thickness of the left and right sides of the spine in AIS patients, reduce the thickness difference between the left and right sides of the muscle, and improve the shape of the muscle around the spine in AIS patients. The detection of muscle morphology around the spine combined with the full-length spine film is of guiding significance for the early treatment of scoliosis.
