Effects of Progressive Resistance Training Combined with Isokinetic Muscle Strength Training on Shoulder Joint Range of Motion and Upper Limb Lymphedema in Patients with Breast Cancer after Surgery
Objective To explore the effect of progressive resistance training combined with isokinetic muscle strength training on postoperative patients with breast cancer. Methods Eighty-four cases of postoperative breast cancer patients admitted to the Cancer Hospital Affiliated to Guizhou Medical University from May 2021 to July 2023 were selected as the research objects, and they were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, with 42 cases in each group. The control group received routine training, while the observation group received progressive resistance training combined with isokinetic muscle strength training on the basis of the control group.Compare the degree of upper limb lymphedema, shoulder joint range of motion, and quality of life between two groups. Results The degree of upper limb lymphedema in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);After training, the observation group had higher shoulder joint range of motion than the control group, and the health status survey questionnaire score was higher than that of the control group, the differences between groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Progressive resistance training combined with isokinetic muscle strength training is effective can significantly improve the range of motion of shoulder joint, reduce the degree of upper limb edema, and improve the quality of life.
