Effect of Repeated Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Combined with Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy on Fine Motor Function of Hand on Affected Upper Limb in Children with Hemiplegic Cerebral Palsy
Objective To investigate the effect of repeated transcranial magnetic stimulation(rTMS)combined with constraint-induced movement therapy(CIMT)on hemiplegic cerebral palsy(HCP)children and improve the fine motor function of the affected upper limb.Methods Seventy-five children with HCP admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from March to December 2021 were selected as the research objects and were divided into a control group(n=38)and an observation group(n=37)according to random number table method.The control group was treated with CIMT,and the observation group was treated with rTMS combined with CIMT,both groups were treated for 12 weeks.The upper limb function,fine motor function development,muscle tension and functional independence of wrist flexor and elbow flexor were compared between the two groups.Results After 12 weeks of treatment,the scores of Carroll Upper Extremities Function Test and Modmed Ashworth Scale in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences between the groups were statistical significance(P<0.05);Modmed Ashworth Scale scores of between the groups wrist flexor and elbow flexor in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05);the functional independence measure for children scale score of the observation group was(88.47±5.01)points,which was higher than(80.37±4.73)points of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion rTMS combined with CIMT therapy for HCP children can improve upper limb function,fine motor function,muscle tone,and functional independence,which has clinical reference significance.
