Effect of Enhanced External Counterpulsation on Dynamic Blood Pressure and Dynamic Heart rate in Elderly Patients with High Blood Pressure and Increased Resting Heart Rate
Objective To investigate the effects of enhanced external counterpulsation(EECP)on ambulate blood pressure and ambulate heart rate in elderly patients with high blood pressure(HBP)and increased resting heart rate(HR).Methods Sixty elderly patients with HBP with HR acceleration admitted to Jinhua Rehabilitation Hospital from March 2022 to February 2023 were selected as research objects, and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with metoprolol succinate, and the observation group was treated with EECP on the basis of the control group, both groups were treated for 12 weeks. The ambulatory blood pressure, ambulatory heart rate and safety of the two groups were compared. Results After treatment,24 h Systolic Blood Pressure was(114.25±4.34)mmHg,24 h Diastolic Blood Pressure was(69.58±4.64)mmHg,daytime Systolic Blood Pressure was(120.29±3.22)mmHg,daytime Diastolic Blood Pressure was(73.66±3.27)mmHg,the nocturnal Systolic Blood Pressure was(110.29±9.27)mmHg,and the nocturnal Diastolic Blood Pressure was(65.31±3.41)mmHg,both of which were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);the Heart Rate of the observation group was(80.17±4.28)mmHg during the day,(63.98±2.67)mmHg at night and(69.59±4.21)mmHg at 24 h,which were all slower than those of the control group, and the differences between groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no obvious adverse reactions in both groups during treatment. Conclusion In elderly patients with HBP combined with HR acceleration, the use of EECP treatment can effectively improve patients'ambulatant blood pressure and dynamic heart rate, and it is safe and reliable.
