Application of Cannulated Screw Combined with Sinus Tarsi Approach Plate Fixation in Patients with Sanders Ⅱ and Ⅲ Calcaneal Fractures
Objective To explore the application of cannulated screw combined with sinus tarsi approach plate fixation in patients with Sanders Ⅱ and Ⅲ calcaneal fractures. Methods A total of 100 patients with Sanders Ⅱ and Ⅲ calcaneal fractures admitted to Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Third Division Hospital from January 2021 to October 2023 were selected as the research objects, and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with lateral L-shaped approach plate fixation, and the observation group was treated with cannulated screw combined with sinus tarsi approach plate fixation. The surgical status, imaging indexes, foot and ankle function, ability of daily living, pain degree, quality of life and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The operation time and hospital stay of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group, the intraoperative blood loss and postoperative drainage volume were less than those of the control group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the operation, the scores of the Ankle and Hindfoot Function Scoring System of the A merican Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, the Barthel Index Assessment Scale, and the World Health Organization Quality of Life-Brief Version in the observation group were all higher than those in the control group, while the score of the pain Visual Analogue Scale was lower than that in the control group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).The complication rate of observation group was 4.00%,which was lower than 16.00%of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Comparison of preoperative and postoperative imaging indexes between the two groups, and the differences were no statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion The cannulated screw combined with sinus tarsi approach plate fixation has a better effect on the treatment of calcaneal fractures, which can reduce the surgical trauma, accelerate the functional recovery of foot and ankle function and reduce the occurrence of postoperative complications.
