Effects of Thoracoscopic Modified Nuss Procedure on the Clinical Efficacy and Rehabilitation Process of Pectus Excavatum in Children
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy and rehabilitation process of the modified Nuss procedure under thoracoscopy in the treatment of pectus excavatum in children. Methods A total of 90 children with pectus excavatum admitted to Yicheng District People's Hospital of Zaozhuang from January 2022 to August 2023 were selected as the research objects, according to the random number table method, they were divided into a control group and an observation group, with 45 cases in each group. The control group was treated with traditional sternal inversion, and the observation group was treated with modified Nuss procedure under thoracoscopy. The operation related indexes,Haller index and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The observation group had surgical time and recovery time of normal activities shorter than those of the control group, and the intraoperative bleeding and postoperative drainage volume were less than those of the control group, the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05);at 3 months and 6 months after operation, the Haller Index of the observation group was(2.41±0.12)%and(1.17±0.32)%,respectively,which were lower than(2.77±0.75)%and(1.44±0.56)%of the control group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05);the incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The modified Nuss procedure under thoracoscopy for the treatment of pectus excavatum in children has high surgical quality, which is conducive to the recovery of children's normal activities, and can effectively improve the thoracic shape of children and reduce the risk of postoperative complications.
